Piquant Press is a Canadian company devoted to the publishing of outstanding poetry, short stories and non-fiction.

Located in the Greater Toronto area, we are positioned to enjoy one of the most vibrant, talented and diverse writing scenes in the world today.

We attend a substantial number of readings, workshops and events in Toronto and the cities of Eastern Ontario. We also offer a wide range of instructive workshops and writing events through our sister companies, Inkslingers and Go ForWords, keeping our eyes, ears, hearts and minds open for great new talent.

From our offices in the countryside, we discuss the writers and performers we think represent the frontline of great writing, and invite them to submit manuscripts.















Our long term goal is to identify and publish the writers who are making artistic, emotional, clever, daring, and intimate statements about our society.
